Big Sandy ISD is a smaller school with the most caring and involved teachers. It’s a great school for kids of all abilities. Some of the entertainment Big Sandy has to offer is, Alice’s Dance Hall that host a senior citizen dance every Monday and Saturday night. Circle M Crawfish (know state wide) is open 7 days a week and has live entertainment several nights a week. There is a locally owned grocery and meat market, a Dollar General Store and opening soon a Dollar Tree. We are located in Big Sandy Tx, it’s a small town surrounded by a few of our larger cities here in east Texas. We are 12 miles from UT North health campus hospital in Tyler Tx, 22 miles from Mineola Tx, 14 miles from Gilmer Tx, 23 miles from Longview Tx and for those who love to shop we are just 43 miles from Canton trade days!! So no matter where you are headed, if you live in Big Sandy you’re almost there.
